Indira Gandhi Government Post Graduate College, Tohana was set up in July,1970 and it was taken over by the Government of Haryana on January 14, 1980. The College plays a key role to provide educational and cultural facilities  for the upliftment of the students of this area.

    The College is co-educational institution accredited with "B" grade by NAAC Bangalore, There is no other college with in the area of 30 kms  which can fulfill the needs of the people of the area. This is the reason, that this college has its special importance.
